03/06/10 - Alice

Alice
... and there she was ... fresh from the Mad Hatter's tea party ...

02/06/10 - Cheshire Cat

Cheshire Cat
The smile on the cat seen from within a conical yew hide at the wonderful Antony House - a National Trust property - where the latest version of Alice was filmed.

01/06/10 - Quarter Century

Quarter Century
Mat (25 today) picking up his map at the recent Nottingham City Urban Orienteering event.
Happy Birthday !!

31/05/10 - Port Loe

Port Loe
Made a 180 degree navigation error trying to get to Port Loe - walking - asked the way of two guys outside a cottage and they just laughed and told me where I had gone wrong ... ambled up the lane along the path and came to a road crossing. Just then a bus came round the corner with 'Port Loe' on it ... I raised my hand, the bus stopped and whisked us down to the quietest bay I have seen for ages. Note to self: beware the £15 bill for cream tea !!

30/5/10 - Walled

Walled
Just love the care and attention to detail that the builder of this wall felt was worth it. The wall is down a tiny lane in the middle of almost nowhere - brilliant

29/05/10 - Alone against the sky

Alone against the sky
There it was, alone in the hedge, striking against the blue sky of a Cornish day.

27/05/10 - Tree Hugging 1

Tree Hugging 1
In this series are trees I have hugged recently - this magnificent cedar took pride of place at the head of an amazing avenue.
